Emotional Intelligence (EI) refers to certain emotional and social skills, particularly those that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

Emotional Intelligence plays an important role in a corporate context in areas such as Leadership and Leadership Development, Selection, Organisational Development, Executive Coaching and Team Building. It is also an important factor in Student Development.

EI is proven to be one of the key predictors of human performance and development potential. A person’s emotional intelligence is not fixed or static but rather can change over time and can be developed in targeted areas. It can be assessed, measured and reported as an Emotional Quotient (EQ).

The EI Leadership Assessment is widely used for corporate selection and recruitment and may be utilised by HR personnel in a variety of contexts.
