Emotional Intelligence (EI) refers to certain emotional and social skills, particularly those that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

EI plays an important role in student development. It is also a proven key predictor of human performance and development potential in the workforce. In a corporate context, Emotional Intelligence is an important factor in Leadership Development, Selection, Organisational Development, Executive Coaching and Team Building.

A person’s emotional intelligence is not fixed or static but rather can change over time and can be developed in targeted areas that have been identified. Emotional Intelligence can be assessed, measured and reported as an Emotional Quotient (EQ).
